DAAPworks Exhibit

The Spring 2025 capstone workshop class was a collaboration between the Master of Community Planning (MCP) and Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) programs. The students were tasked with taking inspiration from The 2024/2025 Trend Reports for Planners released annually by the American Planning Association, The Climate Action Plan released by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), and The Sustainable Development Goals released by the United Nations (UN). Together, students from both programs, focused on identifying projects and implementation sites by taking inspiration from the reports above, researching different topics of interest, and creating future scenarios based on their chosen topic.

This Capstone Project is the result of many months of work by Ruby and Teddy. A physical display of their work is on display at DAAP Works inside University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning building. The chandelier in the images below is called "Restoration" and symbolizes the death and possible rebirth that is possible at Potter's Field Cemetery.

This project was the winning project within the planning department for the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) Design Excellence Awards. This earned them the Honorable Mention for the award as a whole. A picture of the ribbon can be found below.
